Baby, It's Shopping Time! (Part 1): The Sister's Closet

It's finally here!
The moment that most of mommies-to-be think is scarrier than the labour itself *lebay*
Yup, it's baby's shopping time..!!

Luckily we I had done some small research regarding this shopping thingy..
Thanks to hours spent lurking at the forum in Mommies Daily and The Urban Mama and also constantly terorizing Mama Igo, I finally finished the list that I had worked on for one month or so.

I made the Baby Shopping List (six pages of tables completed with notes and remarks) based on these 4 categorizes *cough! Geek!* :

1. Essential things to buy

These are the basic things that are agreed by most of the mom(s) to be the most essential items for you to purchase.

2. Things that may be necessary to buy /optional

These are the things that some mom(s) think to be important items, yet some other mom(s) have different opinion based on their on experience. Well, as long as it doesn't cost me an arm and leg, I am in!

3. Things to buy later

These are the IMPORTANT yet MORE EXPENSIVE things to buy, however, you don't neccessarily need to buy it right away.. Nanti-nanti bisalah...nabung-nabung dulu lah.. Dan bisa dibeli setelah bayi nya lahir *korek celengan ayam*

4. Unnecessary Items

And this is my favorite part haha! The mommies are so nice they share their own experience which are the things that eventually unused or rarely used.

Equipped with the above list, me and Okita were confident enough to go shopping for Lil Kiddo by ourselves last Saturday. Yet, rejeki emang ga kemana :D Couple hours before we took off, my sister, mom of my Lil Boy Toy, knocked our bedroom door and said "OK, I somehow succesfully got rid my lazyness this Saturday morning, so I cleaned up and look what I found. You can thank me later haha..."

And there it was...

Two (!) big luggages contained all of Azka's old stuffs (well, he's only 3 years old now, dunno if it's considered old enuf).

Let's dig in!

After 2,5 hours of choosing, picking, categorizing (guess who did this?), and piling all the stuffs that are still in a very decent condition (some of them are even still unopened!), we finally succeed to collect all the good stuffs and left one huge red plastic bag only.

Thanks to the anak-pertama-cucu-pertama-anak-laki-laki-cucu-laki-laki-pertama syndrom!

We got more than enough the basic stuffs for Lil Kiddo and even for me!

I guess all those mom(s) are right about the unnecessary items, because most of the stuffs that are still in good conditions are the stuffs that rarely used by my sister haha..

Not only we were thrilled to get those free goodies, but we actually had fun sorting all the clothes. Remember the episode of How I Met Your Mother when all the group were in awe with the cuteness of a baby sock? It happened to us. In the end, my sisters also joined us and we started to talk like this "iii..keciy bangetttt..." or "ya ampun..kok muat sih di manusia di baju ini hihi.." or "awww...sock!it's a small sock!"

So I guess the "baby stuff shopping" is not that bad (d'oh! it's free) ;)
